Details

SlimeVR is a base-station-free full-body tracking system for VR users who want natural leg, waist, chest, and limb movement without lighthouse hardware. Each tracker uses onboard orientation sensing and streams over 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi to the SlimeVR server, where your body proportions and headset position are used to estimate a full avatar pose.

The current v1.2 hardware is designed around lightweight self-contained trackers, USB-C charging, over-the-air firmware updates, and up to 20 hours of runtime from a 1350 mAh battery. A five-tracker lower-body set is enough for many VRChat and SteamVR setups, while larger sets can add knees, feet, elbows, and chest rotation for richer motion capture and social VR presence.

Good fit for: VRChat, Resonite, SteamVR full-body tracking, avatar streaming, VTubing pipelines, and open-source motion-capture experiments.
